Mickey's Opens in Shelby: A New Gateway to the City, Complete with Dunkin' Donuts

SHelby - Visitors to Mickey's can obtain "pretty much anything you can imagine," as the saying goes.

As the store manager at Mickey's (previously known as Mickey Mart), Amanda Dean is cognizant of what the latest establishment in town is like. Shelby has to offer.

She mentioned, 'Our initial day was fantastic, and everything has been great from then on.'

Situated on the eastern outskirts of town at 191 Ohio 39, Mickey's made its debut earlier this week. This establishment operates around the clock and features a transparent front facade, plentiful sunlight, and an expansive inside space. Customers have access to numerous dining choices such as Mickey’s Chicken & Deli offerings, well-stocked snack sections, various cold beverage picks, along with a complete service Dunkin’ Donuts section within the premises.

Big refueling stations offer convenient access for automobiles and lorries.

Mickey’s also offers clothing items such as socks.

I believe this benefits our neighborhood greatly. The interior design is quite impressive too," remarked resident Bernie Fernandez. "This will foster growth within the community. In my opinion, it won’t impact the downtown area’s cafes since it’s located at the edge of town.

Laura Montgomery from Mansfield bought a cotton candy slushy for her 4-year-old son, Niko.

"She mentioned that gas stations in Mansfield don’t offer that,” she explained. “We were thrilled to check it out; it’s amazing. It’s great that Shelby has such a wonderful convenience store.”

Visitors also stop by to catch sight of the store mascot, Mickey the Moose, who sits atop the fueling stations.

"Children enjoy it immensely, and so do seniors," Dean stated.

She mentioned that the store employs 17 people.

Greater enjoyment is anticipated with the launch of Mickey's Dino-World Adventure, an unparalleled immersive attraction set to open this summer.

"Someone mentioned that we'll be getting some incredible dinosaurs currently under construction," Dean stated.

The dinosaurs will be positioned on the ledges along either side of the structure. Meanwhile, Mickey has distributed a special-edition Dino-World passport to those who were present at the grand unveiling.

Mayor Steve Schag Mickey's place aims to welcome visitors to Shelby and provide services beyond just refueling and meals.

"As you enter our city through this gateway, you won’t be able to miss that large moose," Schag stated.

The mayor also mentioned that Mansfield Avenue, which becomes Ohio 39, serves as the commercial hub of Shelby.

"As another instance of this," Schag stated.
